Publication Ethics
Student Journal of Law and Culture (SJLC), published by Nawa Lintang Press, is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics throughout the article submission, review, and publication process. The journal adheres to the principles of honesty, transparency, and academic accountability in accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
These ethical standards apply to all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher.
a. Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Evaluating all submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of academic merit, without regard to race, gender, religious belief, institutional affiliation, or political views.

Ensuring the confidentiality of authors and reviewers throughout the peer-review process.

Making publication decisions based on the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript to the field of law and culture.

b. Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are responsible for:

Providing objective, scholarly, and constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

Maintaining confidentiality and refraining from using manuscript content for personal advantage.

Notifying the editor of any potential conflicts of interest or suspected academic misconduct.

c. Duties of Authors
Authors are required to:

d. Duties of the Publisher (Nawa Lintang Press)
As the publisher, Nawa Lintang Press is responsible for:

Supporting the editorial team's independence and the academic freedom of authors.

Enforcing ethical standards in line with national and international academic regulations.

Taking appropriate legal or administrative action in cases of ethical violations such as plagiarism or data manipulation.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to Student Journal of Law and Culture will undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts that exceed the editorial similarity threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected.
By submitting a manuscript to Student Journal of Law and Culture, authors are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to comply with all provisions of this publication ethics policy.
