Author Guidelines
Student Journal of Law and Culture accepts original research and conceptual manuscripts in the field of law and culture from students, academics, and practitioners. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.
1. Types of Articles Accepted

Research Articles: Empirical or normative studies relevant to the themes of law and culture.

Conceptual Articles: Theoretical explorations, discourse analyses, or academic reflections on legal and cultural issues.
2. General Writing Requirements

Articles must be written in clear and correct English.

Length: 4,000–7,000 words, including abstract, tables, figures, and references.

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Formatting:

Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt

Line spacing: 1.15
-
Margins: 3 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right)

All manuscripts must follow the official journal template (see section 3).
3. Article Format
Manuscripts must conform to the journal’s official article template, which includes guidelines for:

Title

Abstract and keywords

Introduction, body, and conclusion

In-text citations and reference list
-
Tables and figures

4. Citation and Referencing
All references and in-text citations must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style.
5. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform on the journal’s official website.

Authors must register for an account before submission.

All submissions will go through a double-blind peer review process.
6. Review and Revision Process

Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

Editorial decisions (accept, revise, or reject) will be communicated through the OJS system.

Authors are expected to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and re-upload the revised version within the given deadline.
7. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software.

Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% may be returned for revision or rejected outright.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.
8. Article Processing Charges (APC)
-
There are no article processing charges (APC).

Publication in the Student Journal of Law and Culture is free of charge and open access, in line with the journal’s commitment to removing financial barriers to academic publishing.
